Printing in Protest

We are currently offering free printing services for posters, zines and projects that are made with and for community minded resistance and/or mutual aid. This service is to provide resources, information and safety to our neighbors and fellow community neighbors through the word of print.

Any and all projects printed must be free and accessible to the public, and printed with a purpose.

Please read the details below for additional information on what does and does not qualify, limitations that we face. Thank you for your understanding.

To directly ask questions or to send files please email Sophia directly at sofamelonprint@gmail.com

  • Free printing extends to projects such as protest signs, posters or flyers to distribute locally, or small zines with useful and factual information.

We will not print anything that includes hateful or bigoted content. Please be mindful and respectful, as this is meant to be a community effort.

We will not print art prints, posters or any other materials to sell for profit, kept or donated, as part of free protest printing. All projects printed through this initiative must be free and accessible to the public. We will not print any materials for for-profit business, show flyers or any other promotional materials. If you would like to place an order for printing that does not qualify, please visit the RISO tab at the top of the page.

If you have questions on what does or does not qualify, please reach out via email.

    Thank you for your understanding.

  • We are currently offering free protest printing as one color, black or red ink prints. The size limitation is 11”x17” for all Riso printing, but can be cut or folded down to any size.

We are currently on a project to project basis for quantity, and can offer suggestions for each specific project.

We offer free use of our staplers, paper cutters and tabletops to any project.

  • Melon Press is a two person team, Dan and Soph, and as much as we would like to provide endless services we are limited by both time and resources. Both of us work jobs as well as running Melon Press, and this will affect production time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

At this time, printing is limited to STL local pickup only.

If you are interested in assisting through volunteered time, skill trades or donations, please reach out! Everything helps our mission of print for the people.
